Graveside service 11:00AM Thursday at Bird's Creek Cemetery with Dr. Rob Martin of First United Methodist Church officiating. No visitation is scheduled prior to the service. Born in Smithland, KY to the late Harry Winford and Georga Tipton Wilson. He married Beulah Cecil Douglass Wilson, she preceded May 13, 1991. Survived by nephews: Harry Wade (Barbara) Wilson, Seattle, WA, Larry (Betty) Douglass, Nashville, TN; friends: Dorothy Grannis, Memphis, Elaine Terrell, Memphis, Barbara Kernan, Memphis, Cheryl (Jerry) Gaul, Memphis, Joe (Ann) Reno, Memphis, Terry Thompson, Memphis. Preceded by a brother: Harry Wilson. Mr. Wilson was formerly a writer for several magazines and newspapers including the Commercial Appeal, Nashville Tennessean and the Paris Post Intellingencer. He graduated in journalism from Northwestern University in Chicago and attended the University of Kentucky and Murray State University.
