Gerald L. Peters, age 63 of Paris, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the Veterans Hospital in Nashville, TN. His funeral service will be held at McEvoy Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Marty Laney officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 12:00 P.M. Friday. Mr. Peters is survived by his wife, Dorothy Green Peters of Paris whom he married on December 2, 1978. He is also survived by two sons: Jason L. Tubbs of Tiptonville, TN and Gerald L. Peters II of Paris, TN; sisters: Cathy Peters of Chicago, IL, Diana Peters of Chicago, IL, Sandra (Vicente) Cordero of Chicago, IL, Glenna Peters of Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Jacob and Katie Crabtree, Tyler, Larry and Erin Tubbs as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elsie Johnson Peters; two sisters: Carly Peters and Donna Blucher; four brothers: Sterling, Gary, Larry and Danny Peters.
