Mrs. Gladys Hudson, age 98, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, TN. Funeral service 1:00PM Saturday, June 11, 2016 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Evangelist Ed Held officiating, burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Rev. Dr. Darrell Hudson, Gregory Bell, Joshua Bell, Kevin Skinner, Eddie Ross and Timothy Ross. John Grimes and Carolyn Ross will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation 11:00AM until time of service Saturday June 11, 2016. She was born September 26, 1917 in Haywood County, TN to the late Jessie Hutson and Sarah Murley Sanderson. On November 6, 1937 she married James Curtis Hudson, he preceded March 25, 1999. Survived by a son: Kenneth Ray (Delcia) Hudson, Apache Junction, AZ; grandchildren: Rev. Dr. Darrell Wayne (Julie) Hudson, Georgetown, TX, Deborah Ann (Gregory) Bell, Waxahachie, TX; great-grandchildren: Andrew James Hudson, Joshua Curtis Bell, Jerica Marie Bell; sisters: Norine Walton, Memphis, TN, Helen Hurt, Memphis, TN, Clara White, Memphis, TN and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded by sisters: Birdie Joyner, Myrtle Sylvester, Clara Ruby Sanderson and brothers: Robert Sanderson, Frank Sanderson. Mrs. Hudson was a member of the West Paris Baptist Church and also Thompson Creek Baptist Church in Como. She and her husband were well traveled throughout the United States. She was a devout Christian devoted to her family. SERVICES Funeral Service
