Glenda Rae Thompson Manning Glisson, age 82, of the Whitlock Community passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Henry County Healthcare Center. Her body is to be cremated with no services scheduled. Mrs. Manning was born December 17, 1936 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania to the late Calvin Ernest Thompson and the late Cordelia Humphrey Thompson. She was formerly married to the late Sgt. Major Carse Gene Manning. She married Kenneth R. Glisson on June 23, 1988 and he survives in the Whitlock Community. She is also survived by sons, Calvin Dale (Teresa) Manning of Cottage Grove, Charles Lee Manning of Cottage Grove, Carse Gene Manning, II of Springville; daughter in law, Mary Manning of Puryear; sisters, Lolli Calcaterra of Lincoln Park, Michigan; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Besides her parents and former husband, Glenda is also preceded by her son, John Frank Manning; her sister, Linda Kay Scherf; and one great grandchild. Mrs. Glisson was a homemaker.
