Glenn L. Jackson

Glenn L. Jackson, age 84, of Paris, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026, at Henry Co. Health and Rehabilitation. His funeral service will be on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Don Campbell of Puryear Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM on Sunday, prior to the service, at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Glenn Jackson was born June 11, 1941, in Paris, TN, to the late Dorris and Opal Coleman Jackson. On May 28, 1982, he married Fredda Haley Jackson, and she survives in Paris.

Glenn worked in heating and cooling with Johnsonius and Sons for 20 years. He was with Paris/Henry Co. Natural Gas for 27 years, retiring in 2006 as General Manager. He loved living on the farm and raising cattle, and always had a big garden. He enjoyed going to Calico Rock, AR, trout fishing for more than 60 years.

In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by his sons, Andy (Sandra) Jackson and Jeff (Jill) Hill, and his daughter, Debbie (Buddy) Green, all of Puryear, TN; grandchildren: Adam (Mandy) Jackson, Kye Norton, Kacie (Aaron) Hurst, Tori Hill, Raegan Hill, Amber Boone, and Zane Green; brother, Don Jackson; and fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides his parents, Glenn was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Heather Tharpe, a sister, Sue Fuqua, and brothers, Benny Jackson and Ralph Coleman Jackson.

Pallbearers for Mr. Jackson will be Jack Fuqua, Brad Jackson, Bob Hargrove, Tommy Scarbrough, Victor Baldwin, and Rusty Culley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Ward, Randy Valentine, and Paris Natural Gas Employees.
