Gwendolyn Perry Newman age 87, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Her funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. on Thursday until service time. Mrs. Newman is survived by daughters, Janice (Richard) Armstrong of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Kathleen (David M.) Lee of Fort Washington, Maryland; sister, Anna Taylor of Streamwood, Illinois; brother, William Perry of Posen, Illinois; three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John William and Leora Ethel Sykes Perry; husband, Mabra Franklin Newman; sister, Lavina Harvey; brothers, Wade, Lawson and Wilbur Perry; and one grandchild.
