Graveside service 11:00AM Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, TN with Bro. Jeremy Ballinger of Dyersburg officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Members of the men's Bible Class at First Baptist Church in Paris and the Members of the Paris Lion's Club. Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris with a Memorial Visitation 9:30 - 10:45AM Monday at Holy Hills Baptist Church prior to the graveside service at 11:00AM. Survived by his wife: Patricia Brake Boals, Paris, TN, they were married January 4, 1992; son: Thomas Everett Boals, Dyersburg; sister: Louise Osborn, Dyersburg; grandchildren: Tony (Sally) Boals, Rebecca (Jason) Ozment, Sally (Anthony) Lewis; great-grandchildren: Thomas Ansil, Janie, Sara and Annie Boals, Elizabeth Anne, Virginia and Jason Thomas Ozment, Emma and Alison Lewis. Preceded by his parents: E.H. and Pauline Strickland Boals; wife: Marjorie Bunn Boals; sister: Mary Neil Boals and a brother: Kermit Boals. Mr. Boals was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Paris Lion's Club where he received Lion of the decade in 2006-2007 and the Edward Dolstrom Distinguished Service Award in 2007. He was a Pioneer in the fresh vegetable market in Dyer county where he lobbied Congress during Congressman Edward Jones administration for grants for farmers to raise sugar beets. Mr. Boals served several years on the board of Parkview Hospital in Dyersburg. He served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Tennessee Hospital Association and served in World War II in the 10th Mountain Division.
