Mr. Harold Thomas Tommy Reed, age 73, of Paris, TN died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital Nashville, TN. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in McEvoy Chapel with burial to follow in the Memorial Cemetery. Dr. Trent Bullock and Rev. Larry Simmons will officiate. Visitation will be Monday evening at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday until service time. Named as pallbearers are Eric Reed, Ean Reed, Jim Bracey, Daniel Munsey, Andy Rice and Jean Bildad Michel. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Benevolent and Protective order of Elks. Mr. Tommy was married on August 24, 1958 to Martha Nelle Linn who preceded him in death on Sunday, December 27, 2009. Mr. Reed is survived by daughters; Kerri (Michael) McClure, Paris, TN, Kristi (Daniel) Munsey, Paris, TN, Kimberley Reed- Bracey, White House, TN, granddaughter; Laura Beth (Andy) Rice, Spring Hill, TN, sister; Jerry (Donald) Rickman, Dresden, TN, brother; William (Pat) Reed, Paris, TN. Parents; Alfred and Stella Ferrell Reed preceded him in death. Reed was a graduate of Dresden High School and had worked at Ellis Heating Company for 43 years. He was retired and enjoyed wood working. He was a long time member of the Elks, having served in many capacities as well as a Tennessee state president. He was inducted into the Tennessee Elks Hall of Fame in 2000. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.
