Funeral services for Mr. Harry Spinks Carothers, age 85, of Paris, TN will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Episcopal Church, in Paris, TN. The visitation will be on Thursday evening at Ketchum Hall from 4-8 PM. Mr. Carothers was married to Sue Swenson Carothers on February 12, 1949 who survives him. He is also survived by daughters; Nancy Mortensen (fiancee Don Jacobs), Paris, TN, Katie (Bo) Griffey, Paris, TN, son; Harry S. Skip (Debbie) Carothers, Buchanan, TN, grandchildren; Clay, Abbey, and Anna Carothers, Elliott, Ross, and Suzanna Mortensen, Eliza, and Jackson Griffey and a number of nieces and nephews. Harry is preceded by parents; Richard Butler Sr. and Harriet Spinks Carothers, daughter; Betsy Allison Carothers, sister; Caroline Bunny Vogel, brother; R.B. Rich (Margie) Carothers Jr. After graduating High School in Ft. Thomas, KY he entered the Marine Corps a veteran of WWII he served in Iwo Jima and in Japan and was a recipient of a Purple Heart.
