Harry T. McNeal, Sr.

Harry T. McNeal, Sr., age 76, of Mansfield, TN, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at his residence. His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 pm at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 15th.

Harry Truman McNeal Sr. (76) was born on October 16, 1949, to his late parents, Herbert Sr. and Eddie Mae Tharpe McNeal. Harry was the oldest son of nine children. Our Lord called upon him to enter Heaven on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 4:14 a.m., where he peacefully rested in his home surrounded by his wife and children.

Harry worked as a mechanic at Dotson-Nissan for over 20 years and as a truck driver at Roadway Express for 36 years, where he was ranked #11 among drivers until his retirement. He started his own business repairing small engines, from cars to tractors, because of his love for all things mechanical. He was happiest in his garage with grease on his hands, but when he wasn't working on repairs, he enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, and renovating their home at his wife’s request over the years.

Harry married his loving wife, Joyce Ann McNeal, on June 12, 1980, in Texas, sharing 46 wonderful years together. They met in Puryear, TN, and built a life together in Mansfield, TN. Throughout the years, they shared great adventures across Illinois, Florida, D.C., Virginia, Georgia, Louisiana, and beyond.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Joyce Ann McNeal; his children, Tanya Carpenter, Harold (Nikki) McNeal, Shawanda (Derek) Harris, Harry (Tessa) McNeal Jr., and Marcus (Rosie) McNeal; his adopted children, John Webb (JW) and Ayla Lampert; his grandchildren, Indy, Xavier, Jada, Cody, Sebastian, Marcus Jr., Ty, Shamaya, A'Mya, Tommy, Anna, Natalia, Stantley, Addison, and Zoe; and his great-grandchild, Naveiya.

Harry also leaves behind cherished memories with his sisters, Mary, Betty, Fredda, and Elnora; his brothers, Boss and Ross; along with many dear nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

He now joins his parents, Herbert Sr. and Eddie Mae; his daughter, Katrina; his brother, Herbert; and his sisters, Marie and Vickie, in eternal peace.
