Harry Lee Vollen, age 91 of Paris, TN passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022, at his residence. His funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, April 21, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Emily Walker of Trinity United Methodist Church where Harry was a member officiating. Burial will follow at Elkhorn Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday, prior to the service at McEvoy Funeral Home. Pallbearers for Mr. Vollen will be Adam Weatherly, Matt Matheny, Pat Cobb, Wayne Odom, Jim Bob Weatherly, and Zach Brock. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Trinity United Methodist Church Men. Harry Lee Vollen was born February 12, 1931, in Mt. Clemens, MI to the late Guy Vollen and the late Stella Jamison Vollen. On July 23, 1966, he married the love of his life Marilou Cobb Vollen who survives in Paris, TN. Harry was a kind and gentle man who deeply loved his family. He had a Masters degree in Education and taught Math and Science in Roseville, MI for 35 years before retiring. He also worked as a mover, butcher, sailor, and field hand. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He had a love for sports and he officiated track, baseball, softball, wrestling, and football. Harry is survived by a daughter, Audrey (Randy) Dean of Huntingdon, TN; two sons: Scott Cobb of Springville, TN, and Jeff (Barbara) Vollen of Ramona, CA; seven grandchildren: Amber (John) Roaten of Puryear, TN, Ashley (Eric) Renney of LeHigh Acres, FL, Scott (Carrie) Lancaster of Olympia, WA, Lindsay Vollen of Broomfield, CO, Bethany (Zach) Brock of Martin, TN, Alexis Cobb of Martin, TN, and Ally Cobb of Camden, TN; nine great-grandchildren: Auron Renney, Caleb Roaten, Lilly Renney, Abram Renney, Bodhi Lancaster, Seth Roaten, Kai Lancaster, Aven Renney, and Lavender Renney; sister, Norma Johnson of Evart, MI; and brother, Gene (Linda) Vollen of Pittsburg, KS. Besides his parents, Harry was also preceded in death by a sister, Gail Winnie.
