Funeral service 2:00PM Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Mandrell officiating, burial will follow at Cox Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Ricky Newell, Angela Henry, Jay Taylor, Jeff Matheny, Horace Roberts, Robert Burbridge and Michael Edwards. Visitation 10:00AM Saturday until service time. She was born in Weakley County, TN to the late Samuel Calvin and Clem Pounds Tuck. On October 12, 1946 she married Jessie Willard Cox, he preceded July 14, 1998. Survived by a daughter: Dorothy (George) Miller, Cottage Grove, TN; son: Larry (Shelia) Cox, Paris; sister: Gerelene Taylor-Caudel, Union City; grandchildren: Angela Henry, Ricky Newell, Brandy Newell, Jeff Matheny, Alicia Edwards, Andrea Burbridge; fourteen great-grandchildren; caregiver and special niece: Rebecca Howell; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by two daughters in infancy: Elsie Carolyn Cox, Alice Clair Cox; one son in infancy: Jodie Wayne Cox; sisters: Mamie Sutherland, Versie Rhodes, Alma Atnipp-Snowden, Lametta Wheat, Robbie Tuck; brothers: John Henry Tuck, Chauncey Tuck, Calvin Tuck, Glen Tuck, Peyton Tuck and a granddaughter: Jana Taylor. She was a member of the Cottage Grove Baptist Church and long time Girl Scout Leader. Hazel enjoyed quilting and was an avid gardener who truly enjoyed her flowers.
