Helen Bomar Blay, age 98, of Memphis formerly of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, Tennessee. No public services are scheduled. Burial will take place in Palestine Cemetery. Helen Bomar Blay was born October 23, 1922 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Clyde E. Bomar and the late Sada Allen Bomar. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Blay Dotson of Memphis; her son, James E. Blay of Knoxville; two grandsons, Jeff Nixon of St. Charles, Missouri and Matthew Nixon of Decatur, Georgia. Ms. Blay was a Baptist by faith. She worked as a medical secretary for Oakridge Hospital, Rhea Clinic, and for Dr. W.P. Griffey.
