Helen Marie Odell, age 84 of Springville, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Henry County Healthcare Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Father Martin Orjianioke officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 3rd, prior to the service.

Helen Marie Odell was born January 24, 1941, in Mt. Vernon, NY, to the late William and Marie Petrishin Johnson. On September 3, 1960, she married James A. Odell, who survives in Springville.

Helen was a wonderful person, very considerate, and cared more for others than she did for herself. She also really cared about little children.

Ms. Odell is survived by daughter, Marie Odell of Largo, FL; sons: James (Tina) Odell of Springville, and Michael (Irene) Odell of Hudson, FL; sisters: Linda (Michael) Simerick of Debois, PA, and Geraldine Aguero of Sunland, CA; brother, William Johnson of Orangeville, PA; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Besides her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Pippy.
