Ms. Henrietta Walters Hill, age 87, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Paris Healthcare Center. Her funeral will be held graveside, 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Walters Cemetery with Bro. Mike Wimberley officiating and burial to follow the service. Family and friends will act as pallbearers. Visitation for Ms. Hill is scheduled on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:30 P.M. at McEvoy Funeral Home prior to the graveside service. Henrietta Walters Hill was born on December 28, 1931 in Henry County to the late Thomas Henry Walters and the late Esma Wimberley Walters. She married Elroy Scruggs Hill on April 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death on September 7, 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Jan (Joe) Mitchell of Paris; son, Dan (Debbie) Hill of Springville; grandchildren, Daniel Hill (Wes Hasty), Amanda Hill (Corey) Word, Emily Sibley, Matthew Hodge; great grandchildren, Laynie Word Murray, Noble Redden, and Annabeth Word; sister in law, Edith Walters of Eaton, Tennessee; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. Besides her parents and husband, Henrietta is also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Crawford Walters. Ms. Hill worked in the banking industry for many years. She was an avid genealogist who enjoyed sewing and playing the piano and organ. Henrietta really loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
