Henry Veltman Throgmorton, age 86, of Henry, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at his residence. His funeral service was held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 1, 2019 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Collier officiating. Burial followed the service in Bevil Cemetery. No public visitation was scheduled. Henry Throgmorton was born February 2, 1933 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Knox Henry Throgmorton and the late Lucy Cruse Throgmorton. He married Chloe McDaniel Throgmorton on November 5, 1958 and she preceded him in death, December 2, 2003. Henry is survived by his son, Mikey Throgmorton of Henry and his sister, Daulene Norwood of Germantown. Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Throgmorton is also preceded in death by sisters, Sue Bruce, Betty Clark, May Nanney, and Edna Phelps; and by his brother-in-law, Kenneth Norwood (preceded: November of 2019). Mr. Throgmorton was a Baptist by faith, formerly attending Spring Hill Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and was a member of Paris Masonic Lodge 108 since 1967. Henry worked and retired from Holley Carburetor with 35 years of service. He was an avid quail hunter who enjoyed hunting with his son.
