Funeral service 2:00PM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Simmons of First Baptist Church officiating, burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Garden. Named as pallbearers are Jerry Scott, Gary Barrett, John Harrison, Bob Nolan, Roy Dillon and Tommy Paschall. Malcolm Geurin, David Harrison and John Wayne Harrison will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Tuesday and after 11:00AM Wednesday. She was born in Henry County to the late Fonnie Franklin and Martha McDaniel Ray. On September 9, 1940 she married Ray Davenport, he preceded April 18, 2001. Survived by a son: Gary R. Davenport, Paris; niece: Frankie (Don) Caldwell; nephews: Jerry (Jane) Rowlett and Phil (Melissa) Rowlett. Preceded by a sister: Helen Ray Rowlett and a brother: Frank Ray. Mrs. Davenport was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paris. She retired in 1986 from Emerson Electric, lifetime member of Eastern Star, loved to fish and to fellowship with the people at Mary Ann Nance Senior Citizens Center.
