Hilda F. Sanders, age 89 of Murray, Kentucky, formerly of Henry County, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at her daughters residence. Her funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 18, 2020 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Steven Hunter of Glendale Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Steve Sanders, Tim Swor, Walter Flowers, David Flowers, Walt Flowers, and Andy Flowers. Visitation is scheduled after 10:00 A.M. Monday until time of service. Hilda F. Sanders was born November 14, 1930 in Statesboro, Georgia to the late William J. Fail and the late Bertha Alford Fail. She married Richard D. Sanders on March 15, 1951 and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2001. She is survived by daughters, Patricia (Tom) Hamlyn of Cordova, TN, Theresa Sanders of Salem, Oregon, Cynthia (Charles) Oliver of Palmersville, TN, and Debra (Dan) Boaz of Murray, KY; sister, Maude Ray of Pooler, GA; grandchildren, Garret Mack and Logan Brown; great grandchildren, Pennylane Mack; and close family friend, Kellie Schuster of Murray, KY. Besides her parents and husband, Ms. Sanders is also preceded in death by sisters, Blannie Yirak and Alma Bryan; and brothers, Lawrence, Harrison, Johnny, Reecie, Clarence, and Clifford Fail. Ms. Sanders was a longtime member of Russwood Baptist Church. She worked and retired as an accountant with Jerome Crawford CPA. Hilda was a master seamstress and enjoyed all types of crafts.
