Mr. Hilman "Ray" Haynes age 77 of Springville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at his residence. His funeral service is scheduled 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 12 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Avalon Hospice Chaplin Dewayne Thomas conducting. Burial will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville. After burial friends are invited to the Springville Community Center for refreshments and fellowship with the family. Visitation for Mr. Haynes will be held after 10:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday. Ray was born on September 7, 1940 in Haleyville, Alabama to the late Curtis Samual Haynes and Effie Lee Gravitt Haynes. He is survived by his wife: Nancy Manz Haynes of Springville who he wed on September 27, 1968. Ray is also survived by his daughter: Rebecca and husband Kerry Yoon of Franklin, Tennessee; his three grandchildren: Logan, Landon, and Lanie Yoon; one sister: Patricia Webb of Caruthersville, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Ray is preceded in death by his son: Billy Curtis Haynes. Mr. Haynes worked and retired as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a Methodist by faith.
