Hiram Lindal "LC" Cooley, age 76, of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 29, 2019 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Jones of New Life Baptist Church to officiate. Burial will follow the service in Walker Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Frankie Cervantes, Amillio Cervantes, Josh Hancock, Chris Cooley, B.J. Cooley, Tony Cooley, Amillio Cervantes, Jr., Faaldren Cervantes, Raithan Cervantes, Colin Cooley and Recardo Broadwater. Visitation is scheduled at McEvoy Funeral Home on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. and again on Sunday after 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
Hiram Lindal Cooley was born on November 17, 1943 in Wardell, Missouri to the late Hiram Britton Cooley and the late Ora Wyona Williams Cooley. He married Gayle Cox Cooley on April 24, 1993 and she survives in Paris. He is also survived by daughters, Stephanie Cooley, Stacey (Cary) Rowse of Burwell, Nebraska, and Christin (Recardo) Broadwater of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; sons, Jeffrey Lynn (Terri) Cooley of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Colin (Chavonne) Cooley of Conway, South Carolina, and Justin (Ashley) Bradley of Sevierville, Tennessee; sisters, Bonnie (James) Hunsucker of Cottage Grove, Tennessee, Mary Louise Pickle of Paris, and Brenda Kay (William) Fennell of Wardell, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and an aunt. Besides his parents, LC is also preceded in death by a sister, Connie Sue Cooley; and two brothers, Bobby Fulton Cooley and William Lee "Bill" Cooley.
Mr. Cooley was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving multiple tours in Vietnam and serving in the security services. He retired from the Air Force in 1984. "LC" worked and retired as Post Master with the U.S. Postal Service in Conway, South Carolina. He was also an avid golfer and loved karaoke.
