Homer W. Pierce, age 86, of Adolphus, Kentucky, formerly of Paris, Tennessee passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the Medical Center of Scottsville, Kentucky. His funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Farmer of Bethany Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Dale Greer, Cody Pierce, Bruce Williams, and Timmy Williams. Visitation is scheduled after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday until time of service at McEvoy. Homer W. Pierce was born October 5, 1934 in Breeding, Kentucky to the late John Homer Pierce and the late Ella Jessee Pierce. He married Gerline Taylor Pierce September 25, 1954 and she preceded him in death September 27, 2000. Mr. Pierce is survived by his daughter, Deborah Pierce of Adolphus, Kentucky; sons, Danny W. Pierce of Columbia, Kentucky and James W. Pierce of Paris, Tennessee; sisters, Louise Merrell and Dorothy Cowan both of Columbia, Kentucky; grand daughter, Patricia Merrell of Adolphus, Kentucky; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents and wife, Homer is also preceded in death by sister, Annie Pearl Pierce; and brothers, Arnold, Bobby, Raymond, and Earl Pierce. Mr. Pierce formerly attended Bethany Baptist Church of Paris. He worked as a farmer until retirement.
