Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Monday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Lee officiating, burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday and after 9:00 AM Monday until service time. Born April 16, 1930 in Dyer County, Tennessee to the late Homer Mack and Dorothea Dew Scobey. On October 29, 1960 he married Annie G. Anderson Scobey, she survives in Paris, TN. Also survived by a son: Tim (Terry) Scobey, Corinth, MS; sisters: Dorothlyn Bulgin, Knoxville, TN, Doris Ann (Bob) Brewer, Germantown, TN; brothers: Roy (Sue) Scobey, Lakeland, TN, Larry (Joyce) Scobey, Trimble, TN, David Scobey, Saltillo, TN, Mark Scobey, Lakeland, TN; grandchildren: Leigh Ann Scobey, Brian Scobey, Tanner Stallings and Brianna Scobey. Preceded by a sister: Faye Scobey. Mr. Scobey was a self employed carpenter. He was a devoted husband and father, treasuring time spent with his family and his dog "Bubba". He loved the outdoors and going fishing.
