Houston "Beck" Thompson

Houston “Beck” Thompson, age 32, of Puryear, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026, at St. Thomas West in Nashville. His funeral service will be Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Robert Poglitsch of Open Doors Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Family Cemetery on Mill Creek Road. Visitation will be after 11:00 am on Thursday before the service.

Houston Beck Thompson was born August 4, 1994, to Kelley Ann Callison Thompson and the late Gary Edward Thompson, Sr. On November 11, 2017, he married Autumn Poglitsch Thompson, and she survives in Puryear.

In addition to his wife and mother, Beck is also survived by daughters: Arianna Peters and Chloe Petko, both of Puryear, TN; sons: A.J. Peters and Kenneth Peters, both of Puryear, TN; sisters: Sophia Rosenn Thompson of Gleason, TN, Belle (Jason) Petko of Union City, TN, Catrina (Lynn) Stone of Huntingdon, TN, Danielle Poglitsch of Camden, TN, and Kiley Hinson of Paris, TN; and brothers: Gary (Alicia) Thompson of Milan, TN and Tony Allen of Paris, TN.

Pallbearers for Mr. Thompson will be Gary Thompson, Mason Hoskins, Tony Allen, Lynn Stone, Chris Hill, and Robert Poglitsch.
