Ms. Irene Palmer, age 82 of Paris, Tennessee passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 at AHC - Paris. Her memorial service will be 4:00 P.M. Friday, October 27, 2023 at McEvoy Funeral Home, conducted by Bro. Ronald McClure of Union Grove Baptist Church in McKenzie. Visitation is scheduled on Friday, after 2:00 P.M. until time of service. Irene Johnson Palmer was born December 17, 1940 in Lytton, Iowa to the late Mitchell and the late Pearl Mack Johnson. She married Ollie Palmer, June 16, 1979 and he preceded her in death, March 10, 2001. She is survived by her son, Larry (Patricia) Palmer of Camarillo, CA; daughter-in-law, Patricia Palmer of Paris, TN; nephew, Bryan (Melissa) Berryhill of Kentucky; and by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, great nieces, great nephews and other family members. Besides her parents and husband, Irene is also preceded in death by her son, Gary Palmer; sister, Ellen Skillen; brother, Charles Johnson; and nephews, Jackie "JD" Berryhill and Marc Berryhill. Ms. Palmer was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and formerly worked for the Dana Corporation in Paris. Her memorial service will be announced soon by McEvoy Funeral Home.
