Jack R. "Jack" Boyett, age 66 of Murray, Kentucky passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Murray Calloway County Hospital. A private family visitation and funeral service will be held. Dr. John Smith of Fairview Baptist Church will conduct the service and family members will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Jack was born April 17, 1954 in Malvern, Arkansas to the late Floyd William Boyett and the late Berley Mae Ashley Boyett. He married Sukanya Boyett who survives in Thailand and is also survived by his daughters, Candace Boyett and Marcia Boyett both of Maryland, Virginia; grandson, Jayden Boyett-Roa; sisters, Shirley (Leon) Brown of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Alice (L.D.) Anderson of Osceola, Arkansas, Vickie Hart of Paris, Tennessee and Lisa Burrow of Manilla, Arkansas; brother, Morris (Sherry) Boyett of Paris, Tennessee; and by numerous family members and friends. Besides his parents, Jack is also preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Langston and Wanda Long; and his brothers, John Boyett and Ricky Boyett. Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army for over 17 years, including time during the Korean War, where he earned many commendations, medals and ribbons. Jack was a beloved grandfather, father, brother and uncle.
