James Paul "Pal" Buie, age 86 of Cottage Grove passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Henry County Healthcare Center. His graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 30, 2018 at Walker Cemetery with his son-in-law Dwight Davis officiating. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM Friday, November 30, 2018 prior to the graveside service at 2:00 PM. James Paul Buie was born March 4, 1932 in Kingston, Tennessee to the late Brandon Buie and the late Clyde Price Buie. On May 29, 1957 he married Peggy Stagner Buie and she survives in Cottage Grove. He is also survived by three daughters: Reva Jean Green of Paris; Dana Ann (Dwight) Davis of Waverly, TN, and Tina Lynn Buie of Paris; one son, James Terrance "Terry" (Marry Ann) Buie of Murray, KY; three grandchildren: Jeremy Buie, Keri Ann Robinson, and Dylan Lyn Singleton; two great grandchildren: Decker Robinson and Jacob Cantrell; and one sister, Ada Carolyn Ray of Cottage Grove. Besides his parents, Mr. Buie was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Buie. James Paul Buie retired from Midland Brake and was a United States Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a Seventh Day Adventist by faith and he loved his gardening and mowing. SERVICES
