Memorial service to be held 1:00PM Saturday at the Puryear Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Rhodes officiating. No visitation is scheduled prior to the service. He was born in Bessemer, Alabama to the late J.T. Burton and Virginia Wright Burton, Puyear, TN. On January 20, 1962 he married Tommie Valentine Burton, she survives, Puryear, TN. Survived by a daughter Tina Burton McCord, Mount Juliet, TN; son: Jeffery Lee Burton, Puryear; sister: Jan (Johnny) Brown, Paris; grandchildren: Amanda Burton DuBois, Puryear; great-grandchildren: Casey Mounts, Mikali Mounts; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by a grandson: James Thomas McCord. Terry formerly worked at the Puryear Brick Plant and also worked and retired from Metropolitan Insurance company. He was a long time member of the Puryear Baptist Church.
