Funeral service 11:00AM Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Carlton Gerrell of TVCC officiating, burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Thursday and after 9:00AM Friday. He was born in Cumberland City, Stewart County, TN to the late William Earl and Pennie Morrison Clements. On April 27, 1957 he married Gaynelle Elkins Clements, she preceded March 8, 2004. Survived by a beloved daughter: Sandra Jill (Al) Ortago, Stewart, TN; daughter-in-law: Bonnie Kennedy, Puryear; brothers: Max (Carol) Clements, Bluffton, SC, Sam (Linda) Clements, Cleveland, TN; grandchildren: beloved granddaughter: Holly Smith, Puryear, Patrick Kennedy, Wendie Kennedy; great-grandchildren: Hunter Smith, Zachery Smith, Joshua Kennedy, Alexandria Burg, James Daniels,III, David Tyler Daniels, Markie Anderson, Jamie McGinnis, Ian Anderson, Rylie Anderson; great-great grandchild: Porter Alexander McGinnis; special companion: Marcie Tate, Buchanan and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by a son: Eddie Joe Kennedy; sisters: Louise Perry, Eula Mae Coleman; brother: William Clements and a grandchild: Laurie McCaskill. James worked for General Motors, Fisher Body Fleetwood in Michigan with over 37 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, lifetime DAV member, Amvets and American Legion member. James enjoyed playing poker with his friends. He was an extreme NRA supporter, an avid hunter, fisherman and collector of caps along with many other things. Memorials may be made to: DAV, P.O.
