A Memorial Service for Mr. Collins will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 22, 2010 at the Como Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife Wilda Jones Collins, son; Jim (Jacqueline Denise) Collins, Columbus, MS, grandchildren; Christy Renee Collins, Chicago, IL and James Jared (Heather Allen) Collins, sister;Willie Mae Ross, nephew; Redgy (Mary Jane)Ross, nieces; Rita Ross, Glenda (Bill) Hudson, Dianne (Mike) Wimberly, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded by his parents; William Evans and OlerV Lampkins Collins, daughter; Christie Elaine Collins. He was a member of the Como Church of Christ, retired Supervisor from Holley Carburetor Plant, member of VFW Post 1889 and a Mason. He served honorably with the Navy on a warship in the Pacific during WWII. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association One Vintage Way Suite B-130 Nashville, TN 37228.
