Funeral service for Mr. Dunn will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at McEvoy Chapel with Bro. Paul "Bud" Merwin officiating, burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in McKenzie, TN. Named as pallbearers are Dwayne Dunn, Darryl Dunn, Dwight Dunn, Doug Dunn, Donald Dunn and Caleb Dunn, honorary pallbearer will be Dakota Dunn. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 PM Monday and after 9:30 AM Tuesday until service time. Born May 7, 1936 in Henry County to the late Robert Verdell and Ellen Larue Smith Dunn. On March 2, 1958 he married Ann Dinwiddie Dunn, she survives, McKenzie, TN. Survived by sons: Dwayne (Regina Welch) Dunn, Dyersburg, TN, Doug (Sharon) Dunn, Signal Mountain, TN, Darryl (Betsy) Dunn, Henry, TN, Donald (Karine) Dunn, Paris, TN and Dwight (Caroline) Dunn, Murfreesboro, TN; one sister: Patricia (Bobby) Sanders, Springville, TN; grandchildren: Caleb Dunn, Laura Ellen Dunn Lowe, Dakota Dunn, Julia Dunn, Addison Dunn and Vivian Dunn. Mr. Dunn was a long time member of the Henry Baptist Church. He was a retired school teacher and former school bus driver at Henry School. He was a member of the Master Gardeners and a Henry County Helping Hands Volunteer. James also farmed in the Henry Community.
