James M. Elkins, age 49, of Union City, TN formerly of Paris, TN passed away on Thursday July 13, 2017 at his residence. His memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 23, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1380 Clifty Road in Paris conducted by Bro. Glynn Orr. Visitation is scheduled after 1:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service. James was born on June 18, 1968 in Paris to the late Bobby Ray Elkins and Dorothy Raymer Elkins. He is survived by his son: Charles Andrew Thompson of Spokane, Washington; brothers: Earl Ray Elkins of Paris, Terry Lee Elkins and Allen Elkins, both of Union City; and by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. James is also preceded in death by his brother: Jeffery Lynn Elkins (1998) and by his sister-in-law: Teresa Elkins (March 25, 2017). Mr. Elkins was a graduate of Henry County High School. He formerly worked in construction and also as a welder. James attended New Hope Baptist Church when he lived in Paris. SERVICES
