Mr. James "Jim" Forrest, age 80, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at his residence. His funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Wimberley officiating. Burial will follow the service in Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation for Mr. Forrest is scheduled at McEvoy from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday and again on Wednesday after 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. James William Forrest was born August 10, 1941, in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Lefus William Forrest and the late Sadie Matlock Forrest. He married Barbara R. Forrest on September 30, 1979, and she preceded him in death on January 22, 2013. He is survived by special friend, Pat Covington of Springville; daughter, Retha Burns of Paris; sons, Eddie Forrest and wife Amanda of Paris and Tim Forrest and wife Cheryl of Puryear; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and his brother, Ray Forrest and wife Betty of Tucson, Arizona. Besides his parents and wife, James is also preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Anderson; his sister, Virginia Falbo and his son-in-law, Pete Burns. Mr. Forrest was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.
