James Leon Hefner, age 59 of Paris, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. His funeral service will be graveside Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at VanDyke Grove Cemetery with Bro. Buddy Morris of Grace Baptist Church and Bro. Jack Thacker officiating. Burial will follow and there will be no visitation prior to the graveside service. James Leon Hefner was born July 15, 1961 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to the late James N. Hefner and Bethel Hefner of Alamo, Tennessee. On November 11, 1988 he married Pam Holland Hefner and she survives in Paris, Tennessee. Mr. Hefner was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Army. Along with his wife, James is also survived by his daughter, Sarah Hefner (Jeff) Marcinek of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Becky (Gary) Smith of Alamo, TN; brother, Steve (Gara) Hefner of Idlewild, TN; sister-in-law, Judy Hefner of Murray, KY; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his father, James was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Hefner. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to any Veterans organization in honor of Mr. Hefner.
