Mr. James V. Martin, age 87 of Paris, Tennessee passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at his residence. His funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Wendell Owen to officiate. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Dallas Owen, Payton White, Joshua White, Damion White, Kaden Owen, Cody Jacobs and Keith Templin. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday and again on Saturday after 11:00 A.M. until time of service at McEvoy. James Verner Martin was born January 21, 1935 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Verner V. Martin and the late Martha Bell Richardson Martin. He married Concetta R. Bartela Martin, April 17, 1999 and she survives in Paris. He is also survived by daughter, Cindy A. (Keith) Templin of Westport, Tennessee; grandchildren, Cody Jacobs and Nicole Templin; by five step children, numerous other step grandchildren and great grandchildren along with cousins and other family members. Besides his parents, James is also preceded in death by his sister, Marilla K. Martin; and brothers, Quinten L. Martin and Keith V. Martin.
