James Lloyd Mathis

Funeral services for Mr. James Lloyd Mathis, age 82, of Paris, TN will be conducted on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at McEvoy Funeral Home at 3:00 P.M. with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Saturday evening at McEvoy Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Sunday after 2:00 P.M. until service time. Mr. Mathis was married to Dathel Euline Ownby on September 9, 1945. She preceded him on June 4, 1996. Mr. Mathis remarried on September 14, 2009 to Ann Smith who survives. Mr. Mathis is also survived by daughters; Brenda Mathis Quinn, Paris, TN Nancy Euline (Rickie) Madden, Jackson, TN, Trudi Anne Dunn, Paris, TN, Karen Lynn Mathis, Allen, TN, son; Dwayne Lloyd (Jan) Mathis, Paris, TN, sister; Ida Maxine Mustine, Meterie, LA, brother; T.C. Mathis, St. Louis, MO. Mr. Mathis is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren. Mr. Mathis was preceded by parents; James E. "Eddie" and Lillie E. "Mama Lillie" Norton Mathis, son; James Paul Mathis. James retired from Tennessee Technology Center in Paris, TN, as an Electronics Instructor, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Covington, TN, he also attended First United Methodist Church in Paris, TN. He was also a mason.
