Funeral service 2:00 PM Thursday, McEvoy Fuenral Home, Wayne Perkins, Director of Missions-Weakley County Baptist Association officiating with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are: Steven Perkins, Danny Perkins, James Martin, Phillip Perkins, Clark Perkins and Dale French. Visitation 4:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday and after 12:00 Noon Thursday. He was born in Dresden, TN to the late John Wesley and Nora Peery Perkins. On February 3, 1951 he married Melba French Perkins, she survives in Paris, TN. Survived by a daughter: Janice Martin, Paris, TN; sons: Richard (Janis) Perkins, Sycamore, IL, Steven (Betty) Perkins, Rockford, IL; sisters: Lucille Prince, Sharon, TN, Virginia (Billy) Verdell, Gleason, TN; sisters-in-law: Virginia Perkins, Dresden, TN, Betty Perkins, Palmersville, TN; brother: Wayne (Linda) Perkins, Greenfield, TN; eight grandchildren: Jessica, Jaclyn, Steven and Danny Perkins, Melissa (Patrick)Delisi, James Martin, Tanya (John) Edwards, Michelle Martin; seven great-grandchildren: Logan, Kaley and Tyler Perkins. Aliena Delisi, Bethany Bailey, Michael Webb and Savannah Edwards. Preceded by a sister: Bonnie Crocker; brothers: Wesley Perkins and Calvin Perkins. Mr. Perkins was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a WWII Veteran.
