Mr. Poe passed away at his residence in Springville Thursday evening. His service will be Sunday September 3rd, 2:00 P.M. McEvoy Chapel with burial to follow in Memorial Cemetery, visitation will be Saturday 4:00 until 8:00 and after ll:00 Sunday until service time.
He is survived by his wife Annie "Sue" Hannah Poe, daughters; Barbara (Anthony) Lawton; Linda (James) Perry all of Springville and Norma Jean Coones of Clarksville, a son James F. "Sonny" (Betty Jane) Poe, Jr., U.S. Navy Command Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa; Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, preceded by his parents Albert Sumner and Queenie Ray Poe, a brother George Thomas Poe and one granddaughter.
He was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church, retired from TVA as Building Maintenenace Mechanic & Electrician, Army-Airforce veteran of WWII and was a member of the National Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union.
