Jane Carolyn "Nanny" Pearson, age 83 of Buchanan passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, April 4th at 1:00 pm at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Eaton and Bro. Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in New Liberty Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Lee Whitehead, Aldie Tatum, Mike Taylor, Josh Poe, Clayton King, and Matt King with honorary pallbearers, Reedy King and Steve King. Visitation with the family will be after 10:30 am Thursday until service time at 1:00 pm at McEvoy Funeral Home, 507 W. Washington St. in Paris. Jane Carolyn Pearson was born December 1, 1940, in Martin, TN to the late Jim and Mattie Gallimore King. She was married to Jerry Wayne Pearson, and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2013. Ms. Pearson was a member of Russwood Baptist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, having a passion for flowers and arranging them for her church. She was known to be a wonderful cook and loved her family-time and most especially the time spent with her grandchildren. Jane is survived by her son, Billy (Tina) Garner of Sharon, TN; two daughters: Kristi (John) Davis of Buchanan, TN and Tracie (Kevin) Freeman of Dresden, TN; six grandchildren: Kenny, Magan Jane (Logan), Harry, John, and Nolan; and great-grandchild, William. Besides her parents and husband, Jane was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Chris; and three brothers: Junior King, Cotton King, and J.L. King. Visitation McEvoy Funeral Home, Inc.
