Funeral service 10:00AM Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Davidson of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Association officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Tony Bowers, Spencer Bowers, Teddy Kenworthy, Brad Barnes, Brad Willoughby and Brady Bratton. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Bobby Sykes, Joe Snow, Bill Snow, Eddie Snow and Billy Grooms. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Wednesday and after 9:00AM Thursday. She was born in Paris to the late John and Jessie Kibbons Snow. On May 25, 1940 she married Fred Sykes, he preceded October 21, 1999. Survived by a daughter: Fredda (Jerry) Bevill, Camden; sons: Harold (Celisa) Sykes, Buchanan, Leslie (Linda) Sykes, Buchanan, Jackie (Sandy) Sykes, McKenzie, Rusty Sykes, Paris; sister: Blanche Stewart, Paris; grandchildren: Tony (Donna) Bowers, Laura (Teddy) Kenworthy, Heather (Michael) Canady, Amber (Brad) Barnes, Eric Sykes, April Sykes and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded by three sisters: Merle Stout, Kattie Williams, Billye Rowena Kimbel; four brothers: J.S., Warren, Phillip and Earl Snow; grandson: Charlie Bowers. Mrs. Sykes was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and loved her sight seeing rides through the country.
