Janet K. Ivey, age 82 of Paris passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, at her residence. Her funeral service will be Sunday, July 24, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Shane Long of Healing Faith Family Worship officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 PM Saturday, July 23, and after 12:00 PM Sunday, July 24. Janet K. Ivey was born July 22, 1939, in Norwich England to the late Harry Butcher and the late Kathleen Coretta Butcher. On September 6, 1958, she married Charles Thomas Ivey and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2007. Janet was a member of the Friday Night Blues Club and the Dixie Darlin's. She loved her flowers, her horses, and her chickens. She loved music and dancing and she loved her family. Janet is survived by three daughters: Kathleen Archie of Paris, Julie (Michael) Ardis of Wedgefield, SC, and Tina (Steven) Beachum of Union City, TN; one son, Charles T. "Bud" Ivey, Jr. of Wedgefield, SC; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Sheila (Jimmy) Bousquet of Bristol, CT; one brother, Dennis (Carmen) Butcher of Valencia, Spain; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Janet was also preceded in death by a sister, Jill McCready, a brother, Raymond Butcher, and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Ivey. Pallbearers for Ms. Ivey will be Dustin Fisher, Brandon Ivey, Trevor Ivey, David Ardis, Brian Carlton, Kaiden Owens, Chasden Owens, Kevin DeWitt, and Cody Archie.
