Ms. Janice Marie Baker McClure, age 85 of Paris, Tennessee passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her son's residence. Her funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 21, 2022 at McEvoy Funeral Home with her son, Bro. Joe McClure and Bro. Darren French officiating. Burial will follow services in Birds Creek Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Steven McClure, Joseph McClure, Drex Boyd, Tim Forrest, Sammy Hatfill and Hayden French. Visitation is scheduled at McEvoy on Friday, after 11:00 A.M. until time of service. Janice Baker McClure was born March 11, 1936 in Birmingham, Kentucky to the late Minus Baker and the late Agnus Newberry Baker. She was formerly married to Joseph Edward McClure, Sr. and he preceded her in death. Janice is survived by her daughter, Casi Marie (Michael) Sloan of Paducah, Kentucky; sons, Joseph E. (Trish) McClure and Steven C. (Gina) McClure all of Paris; brothers, Thurman Baker of Glasgow, Kentucky and Stedman Baker of Paducah; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. Besides her parents and former husband, Janice is also preceded by her daughter Rita McClure who preceded in infancy. Ms. McClure was a longtime member of Open Doors Community Church. Janice loved Christmas time and so enjoyed her lighted Christmas village. The family requests that in lieu of flowers and gifts to please make memorial donations to McEvoy Funeral Home.
