Jeanne A. Townsend, age 92 of Paris, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Paris Healthcare Center. A private family service will be held later with visitation being at McEvoy Funeral Home from 11:00AM-1:00PM Tuesday, November 29, 2016. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Jeanne A. Townsend was born January 24, 1924 to the late Albert Anderson and the late Pauline Parkhill Anderson. On August 27, 1949 she married Earl R. Townsend and he preceded her in death on June 24, 1993. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Carmen Dugan and one brother, Albert L. Anderson. Mrs. Townsend is survived by two daughters, Kathy Page of Paris, TN and Jan Noble of White Bluff, TN; two sons, John (Jamie) Townsend and Chris (Jenniffer) Townsend both of Paris, TN; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous cousins including local cousins Rosemary King and Roland Parkhill; and special caregiver Amanda Miller. Jeanne Townsend was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Paris. She retired as secretary from the Department of Human Services in 1993. She was a member of the Henry County Medical Center Auxiliary and Daughters of American Revolution. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Townsend's Honor to: Easton's Angels, P.O.
