A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 19, 2014, 11:00 A.M. at McEvoy Funeral Home. He was born in Chicago to the late Emil and Helen Stabach Kudrna. On May 18, 1946 he married Shirley Kowalewski Kudrna, she survives in Buchanan. Survived by daughters: Joellyn (Robert) Ahr, Paris, Christine (Ervin) Lauterbach, Gallatin, Jane (Joseph) Esner, North Riverside, IL; son: Roy (Tammy) Kudrna, Darien, IL; grandchildren: Cindy Streit, April Boccuzzi, Jennifer Lauterbach, Eric Lauterbach, Joey Esner, Jake Esner, Andrew Kudrna, Bradley Kudrna; great-grandchildren: Scott Bartels, Kevin Streit, Joshua Streit, Ryan Streit, Halyn Balon, Ella Lauterbach and Lukas Lauterbach. Preceded by a sister: Evelyn Lindaur. Mr. Kudrna was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and was a member of the Amvets Post 45. Jerome enjoyed woodworking, fishing and was a avid Chicago Cubs fan. A family member said that he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Memorials may be made to: Holy Cross Catholic Church 1210 E.
