Jerry L. Merrell, age 70, of Henry, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at his residence. His body is to be cremated and a private family celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Jerry Merrell was born November 26, 1954 in Paris, Tennessee to the late James B. Merrell and the late Louise Hudgins Merrell. He married Sandra Kay Irvin Merrell on June 5, 1987 and she preceded him in death on February 13, 2022. He is survived by daughter, Stephanie (Ronnie) Webb of Paris; son, Michael (B.J.) Swatzell of Union City; grandchildren, Makayla (Jamie) Ham and Dakota Irvin-Merrell; great grandchildren, Inman, Jonathan, and Colton Ham and Mayleigh Merrell. Besides his parents and wife, Jerry is also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Merrell. Mr. Merrell was a Baptist by faith. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran who enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and camping. He was also a loving caregiver to his wife Sandra.
