Mr. Jerry A. Monahan, age 74 of Springville, TN passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his residence. His body is to be cremated and no services are scheduled. Jerry Allen Monahan was born August 27, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Frank E. Monahan and the late Aileen F. Bykkonen Monahan. On June 26, 2003 he married Linda Post Monahan and she preceded him in death on March 20, 2012. Mr. Monahan is survived by a brother, George (Susan Cohen) Monahan of Urbana, IL; special friends and caregivers: Char Meyer and Carol Reeves; and numerous cousins and friends. Jerry was a 1961 graduate of South Division High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a United States Air Force Veteran serving from 1961 until 1965. He worked for Sullivan Engraving for 12 years and C.D. Baird Company, Inc. for over 20 years. Jerry belonged to a chess club and enjoyed playing as often as possible and he also enjoyed reading. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Jerry's Honor.
