Jerry "Donnie" Wallace, age 75 of Puryear, passed away at Jackson Madison County General Hospital Monday, April 5, 2021. His funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 9, 2021 graveside at Puryear City Cemetery with burial to follow. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home after 11:00 AM Friday, April 9, 2021 prior to the graveside service. Jerry Don Wallace was born October 7, 1945 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Wilford Lee Wallace and the late Mayme Fay Chadwick Wallace. On April 16, 2005 he married Vickie Bunch Wallace and she preceded him in death on January 6, 2020. Jerry was a retired owner/operator flatbed truck driver and he also worked at Holley Carburetor in Paris. He loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Jerry is survived by two daughters: Sheela (James) Frazier of Puryear and Teresa (Jonathan) Smith of Paris; one step-daughter, Victoria (Kelly) Story of McKenzie; one step-son, Vernon Moore of McKenzie; seven grandchildren: Sidney Frazier, Madison Boyd, Donnie Boyd, Shandi (Andrew) Cooper, Samantha (Matt) Mead, Kaitlyn (Terry) Goins and Heather Story; and six great grandchildren: Greyson Cooper, Oliver Cooper, Keighley Cooper, Rachel Mead, Charles Mead and Lucille Goins. Besides his parents and wife, Jerry was also preceded in death by two sons: Jerry Dan Wallace and Donnie Lee Wallace; and three sisters: Betty Watkins, Ora Lee Poole and JoAnn Carter. Pallbearers for Mr. Wallace will be Jonathan Smith, Andrew Cooper, James Frazier, Donnie Boyd, Kelly Story and Tony Watkins.
