Mr. Jessie O. Bevill, age 78 of Buchanan, Tennessee passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at Select Specialty Care in Nashville, TN. His funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00PM September 14, 2017 at Blood River Church of Christ in Buchanan with Bro. John Dale and Bro. Eric Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Bevill Farm across from the church. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00PM Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 12:00PM on Thursday at Blood River Church of Christ.
Jessie O. Bevill was born March 29, 1939 in Henry County, TN to the late Odell Bevill and the late Ruth Taylor Bevill. On August 2, 1963 he married Joanna Scarbrough Bevill and she survives in Buchanan, TN. Jessie is also survived by two sons: David (Andrea) Bevill of Buchanan and Darren (Lisa) Bevill of Fairview, Tennessee; four sisters: Rebecca Mackie of Connecticut, and Martha Schrader, Pat Bowers, and Sherry Bevill all three of Henry, TN; one brother, Clarence Bevill of Paris, TN; four grandchildren: Alysha Bevill, Evan Bevill, Lucas Bevill, and Emeline Bevill; and numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
Besides his parents, Mr. Bevill was also preceded in death by four brothers: James, Talvin, Danny, and Bobby Bevill.
Mr. Bevill was a member of Blood River Church of Christ. He was an avid hunter. He was a cowboy, farmer, truck driver, and owner of B & D Trucking.
