Jimmy Ray Bruce passed away on Saturday, October 2nd, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.
His funeral service will be at 1:00PM Monday at the East Wood Street Church of Christ. His burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Paris.
The visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Sunday at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 11:00AM Monday until funeral time at the church building.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Joy Sue Throgmorton Bruce. They were married July 1st, 1961. They have two children: Amy (Mike) Rose of Paris and Troy (Jan) Bruce also of Paris. His mother, Ethel Lou Harper Hall survives.
Jimmie has one brother, Jack (Teresa) Bruce of Paris and four
grandchildren: John Thomas Rose, Charlie Rose, Justin Bruce and Ashley (Keith) Hodge.
Jimmie was the meat market manager at Odom's Foodtown for 22 years and had worked 10 years with Jim Adams. He also was a racecar engine builder and fabricator.
He was a member of the East Wood Street Church of Christ.
