Jimmie E. Rogers, age 81, of Puryear, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 an the Henry County Healthcare Center. A memorial service is pending for Mr. Rogers. Mr. Rogers was born on December 15, 1935 in Fulton, Mississippi to the late George "Oscar" Rogers and the late Minnie Bell Bains Rogers. He married Charlene Robinson Rogers, who survives him in Puryear. Jimmie is also survived by numerous sons and daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and two brothers. He is also preceded in death by one grandchild, three brothers, and one sister. Jimmie retired in 1992 after 30 years in the grocery business with Safeway Vaughns in California. After retirement he and his family moved to Puryear, Tennessee. Mr. Rogers was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran and also a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
