Memorial service to be held at McEvoy Funeral Home on Monday, April 21st, 12:00 P.M with Bro. Paul Veazey officiating. Visitation will be Monday at McEvoy from 10:30 A.M. until service time at 12:00. He was born in Henry County, TN to the late Green Wyatt Shankle and Jonnie Hopkins Shankle. On November 26, 1959 he married Carolyn Bomar Shankle who survives in Paris, TN. Survived by daughter: Tammie (Eddie) Roberts of Paris, TN; daughter-in-law: Sharon Turner Shankle of Paris, TN; sisters-in-law: Brenda (Sonny) Wagner, Peggy Hicks, Valerie Bomar; brothers-in-law: Gerald (Carol) Bomar, James (Wilma) Bomar, Randy (Marie) Bomar, Harold Bass; grandchildren: Stefanie (Annibale) Clericuzio, Ashley Lane Shankle, Dylan (Fiancee Emilee Czenk) Roberts, Paige Roberts; aunts: Regina Lamb, Dorothy Ward, Kay (Jim) Forsythe, Nancy Hopkins; uncle: Keith (Pat) Hopkins. Also survived by numerous cousins. Preceded by son: Wyatt Lane Shankle on May 2, 2004. He is also preceded by several aunts and uncles. Mr. Shankle graduated from Grove High School. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Paris and a longtime member of The Optimist Club. Jimmy was an avid duck hunter and outdoorsman.
